Is it time to up your game at work?

The pace of change today is the slowest it will ever be. To stay competitive we continuously embrace new technology, new ideas and new ways of working. Direct, honest and productive communications are an important way that your organization can remain harmonious and relevant. This means that we can no longer afford to sit through unproductive meetings, send unclear and annoying communications and wait until our employees’ annual reviews to provide feedback and coaching. It’s time to embrace opportunities to communicate better as we move into this exciting new frontier!

The following workshops are opportunities to build your organization’s business communications capabilities. Each is three hours long and is offered individually as half-day sessions for $2,000; and as a three-part full day workshop for $3,500. Rates may increase with “extreme” customization.

Planning and Leading Meetings that ROCK

When was the last time you left a meeting feeling motivated or having a sense of accomplishment? Too often we view meetings and an obligation that prevents us from being productive and not a way to achieve our goals and move our organization forward.
This three hour workshop will provide your team with the perspective and tools needed to transform your meetings so that they are engaging and productive. You’ll learn about meeting structures that drive debate and decision making for updates and strategic planning, along with ways to make routine check-ins focused and efficient.

“Meetings must be deliberate and intentional – your organizational rhythm should value purpose over habit and effectiveness over efficiency.”

Written & Verbal Communications 101: Get to the point!

Effective communicating is key to organizational and personal success. Yet too often we don’t speak or write in a way that is clear, focused and gets results. During this workshop your team will learn and practice a messaging structure that includes three critical considerations for effective written and verbal communications. We will also discuss the pros and cons of the many communication mediums used in today’s workplace (such as phone, e-mail, text and PowerPoint), and learn how to optimize each channel based on the situation. This workshop is highly interactive, and participants leave with tools and experience that they can immediately put to use to communicate better.

“That’s been one of my mantras – focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.”
Steve Jobs

Feedback, Coaching and Managing Conflict

Top tier organizations set clear expectations for their employees and provide continuous feedback so that everyone can be aligned and contributing to the full extent of their talents and experience. As we grow in our professional careers, our training can overlook critical skills like managing conflict and giving and receiving feedback. Learn some techniques to be more effective in helping others learn and grow, and begin to recognize conflict as an opportunity, not something to be avoided.
This workshop is highly interactive and uses real-life scenarios to reinforce the course material.

“Average players want to be left alone. Good players want to be coached. Great players want to be told the truth.”
